You can find information on z/VM's SSL support in the TCP/IP Planning and
Administration book ("SSL Server" chapter), including information on how
to get a certificate.

But the process is the same on z/VM as it is on any other platform:
1. Generate a certificate *request* (on your VM system).
2. Upload that request to your Certificate Authority (CA)'s web site (copy
& paste)
3. When the CA has fulfilled your request, retrieve your signed
certificate and download to your VM system.
4. Store that signed certificate in the SSL server's database to satify
the pending request.

After you've reviewed the book, if you have more specific questions, ask
here.
