Not quite formal documentation, but if you look at
http://www.vm.ibm.com/pubs/ctlblk.html, then drill down to the CP Data Areas
and Control Blocks for your version (any recent version, for that matter),
then the ALOC and ALOCEXT control blocks all (or most) will be revealed.

I don't see the point.  Use CPFMTXA or DSF (if running in z/OS) to display 
the alloc map.
