I'd make sure *all* of the other LPARs have it varied off, not just not
using it at the moment.  It may be assigned to one of them - esp. if you
are using something like MIM where MVS talks amongst itself to share
things.

G'day Listers,

When trying to ipl a CA HiDRO stand alone restore cart at a new data
centre (for VM) the ipl of the cart failed. The person in charge said
this had happened before when trying to ipl a Linux system install cart
as well.

The other lpars are running MVS.

>From the Problem Analysis screen on the HMC Problem description - The
load control unit or device is busy.
Corrective Action - The load control unit and device may be shared by
another system. Try the load operation again. If the problem continues,
select Service.

Can any-one offer remedies
