Actually, depending on what was running in the guest was dumped, you may
still want to use DUMPSCAN.  You can give VMDUMPTL a try, but it will hav
e
the same issue.  

As for your question, you're misunderstanding how dumping of dataspaces
works - each dataspace would get its own dump file, each with a different

filetype (filetype is format DUMPxxxx, where 'xxxx' is a numeric suffix
corresponding to the space, the base space is always DUMP0001), that's wh
y
there's no ALET option on the DUMPSCAN Display command.  (And that's why
David was asking what the filetype was.)  If you don't have multiple dump

files with the same filename and different filetypes, then dataspaces did

not get dumped.
