Yes, you need to SETEVENT REFRESH EVENTS1 to tell RACF to set the toggles according to what you listed in the vmxe profile.You need that each time you modify the profile. I am told this is so that you can use different vmxe profiles for various modes of operation and switch easy from one to the other. But I have never heard anyone using it like that - it might be that all other ways of dealing with profiles were already used by RACF so they had to think of something else to confuse us. It would be too easy if just the syntax of each command were different :-( Rob
