Yes, the newer HMCs run Linux, but it is an appliance. There is no interface for you to copy stuff to the hard drive. It wouldn't do you any good anyway, since when the LPAR asks for the DVD drive, it gets the DVD drive, not something else. Alan Altmark z/VM Development IBM Endicott
