We use the standard z/VM monitor data sent over (automatically) to z/OS daily
to be processed with MXG. It gets put to a weekly tape and saved for 52 weeks.

Ditto here. We send it via Standard Label (virtual) tapes with a 366 day retpd
in case it needs to be reproccessed.

We use Velocity. ESAMAP runs at midnight automatically and as part of the
process have it send MICS formatted data to a z/OS system where the Capacity
folks run it through their stuff.

Subject: z/VM Capacity Planning tools and methods

I am curious what methods / tools are employed to do z/VM capacity planning? I
understand that there are a couple popular z/VM performance monitors. What I'd
like to better understand is what you may do to automatically collect that data
and feed it into something for capacity planning, forecasting, etc.
