We use VM Dataspaces for HELP files. It works quote well. Much better per formance than without. They change seldom, don't really need file control, and are authorized to everyone.
I should point out our Help system is modified -- we spread our help file s across multiple directories and have a front end to access them. I'm not sure why -- anci ent history. So YMMV. But it sure is FAST for us. Alan Ackerman Alan (dot) Ackerman (at) Bank of America (dot) com
