So you want to keep the leading 0's?   Then:

n = 01234+ 50-100    /* Whatever calc */
n = right(n,5,0)

you'll have to put back the leading 0's after performing a calculation on
it...  adjust the '5' in the right() function to be the length you're
looking for.
