In case of hardware modifications, I'm looking for a way to 'dynamically' map our drive tape models with the ones found on our DR site.
To know if the drives come from a 3494 I use the cp cmd q ta details whic h gives the libid and the libport. The cms devtype cmd gives the model (349 0 or 3590, ..) , but I can't find how I could make the difference between t he manual 3490 drives and the 3490 used for the stacked volumes. I would not map a stacked drive with a manual drive. Alain Benveniste
