It looks like DSF assumes 4 blocks. It's actually 4 PAGES, not 4 blocks, not even 4K, just to confuse you. Since FBA blocks are 512, that's 32 blocks DSF reserves for the system. (This being the year 2008, I do not understand how disk storage can still be blocked so small!) Remember that while CP (and DSF) talk about pages, you're back to blocks in the CP Directory.
