I have written some REXX (with help from this list) to shutdown and my z/Linux guests and I also have an EXEC to XAUTOLOG them when I am ready to bring them back up. I would like to know if there is a way from z/VM to check something in the Linux guest to confirm that in fact the guest is up at least to the LOGIN PROMPT?
