Is there some way from VM to determine if you are running on a Standard
(STD) or IFL engine? This is running z/VM 5.2.0. I'm not going to do
anything with it except put it in a chart. I'm just trying to automate th

filling in of this chart.
I can see how this would be useful, though. if you had common code betwee
n
LPARs and didn't want to run a product that was not licesned to run on an
IFL.
z/VM 5.4.0 and the z10 with its VM mode LPARs amkes this more complicated
,
of course.
