Hi.

We have a VM system with an IP connection to the real world over a CTC.

I need to set up a connection to a vm running z/tpf which requires an osa-e
card. This I believe I can simulate using DEFINE LAN QDIO, DEFINE NIC QDIO,
and COUPLE for a guest lan or DEVICE/LINK for a point-to-point connection.

But, iiuc, I can't use a VSWITCH to get to the outside world, as this requires
a real osa-e card. I believe I need to use instead a router virtual machine,
which I can do using the TCPIP machine (data volumes are very low, so is a
secondary machine really necessary?)

Does all this make sense? Am I right in thinking that for this small
configuration its easier to go with the point-to-point configuration rather
then the guest lan. Do then I still need separate subnets for the two links?
Are there any guides on configuring such a setup?

Thanks,
