What does CP QUERY ALLOC SPOOL tells you. I guess the new volume isn't included.
Furthermore: the normal order of adding a spool volume would be 1. Format an allocate the volule 2. update SYSTEM CONFIG (and run CPSYNTAX) 3. use DEFINE CPWONED and ATTACH to SYSTEM You inverted steps 2 and 3 if I remember well. Why follow my order? If you first perform the dynamic activation and Murphy would make you z/VM go down before updating SYSTEM CONFIG, after that IPL you'd loose spool files as the newly added isn't known anymore. 2009/1/7 Martin, Terry R.
