It doesn't matter about start vs. end, per se.  The definition must cover 
the entire volume, whether it's "0 END" or "0 3338" (or whatever), DEVNO 
or not.   If it's got 10K cyls on it and you define it a "0 3338" then it 
isn't a full-pack mini and the R/R will not be propagated.

Don't forget that the the "V" on MWV only enables the use of R/R on the 
minidisk.  The volume must also be defined as SHARED in SYSTEM CONFIG.
