Hello IBMVM and linux-390 lists, I was asked for help create 500 Linux servers on two LPARs for an internal performance test. With some help, we got this accomplished in three days. I thought it would be helpful to the community to write a paper on it. It's 22 pages - about 14 describing the process and 8 listing the code.
It's on the Web at http://www.vm.ibm.com/devpages/mikemac/ under the "Papers" section. In addition to the code being listed in the paper, I also made it available on the same Web page for convenience. Its not an official IBM Redpaper and has not been edited by a professional editor, but it has been run through a couple of times from a usability point of view, so I'm pretty sure all the parts are in working order.
