Friends,
At the end of this week, my time with EDS will be up. I expect to be
moving into some state of partial-retirement and, as-yet, it is unclear

whether or not, "IBMVM" will form a part of my professional future.
(Indeed, it's unclear exactly what kind of, "professional future", if any
,
I have in store).

After a continuous 26+ years with Rolls-Royce and EDS, preceded by nine

years at Commercial Union, I am looking forward to the change with a high

degree of anticipation, coupled, of course, with some trepidation -
intellectually we all know that the future is unpredictable no matter
how, "secure" it may appear - but I believe that it's only at times in ou
r
lives like this that we truly appreciate that fact!

Being a part of, "VM and the VM Community" has been a huge part both of m
y
professional and my personal life, and it's not something that one can

just casually walk away from - I suspect that, like many before me, I
shall be - at the very least - "lurking" on IBMVM for some time to come -

but no longer as [email protected] - this address will terminate as of

this weekend.

So, at this crossroads, I'd just like to say, "Thanks folks - I could
never, ever, have made it this far without you" and that I hope to
maintain contact with the list in some way in at least the near future

even if, after this weekend, for the first time in over thirty-five years
,
I'll no longer have a VM Login to call my own. (Maybe time to fire up
VM/370 and Hercules ... <grin>)

God Bless

Regards
Jeff
