Thank you Jeff for your contributions to the community over the years.
And thanks for the reference to your brother. I've just googled and
found that he (like you) is quite accomplished at his craft. I'm hoping
to locate some of his writings in the U.S. As for the future, I find
myself in a changing world, with MSU having abandoned (mainframe) z/VM 2
yrs back, but now embracing the concept with VMware. While I find it
amusing that a new generation has discovered the beauty of this idea ---
regardless of the platform, I keep hoping that this will open the door
for a return to the "z" before I retire.
Best of luck in your future endeavors.

Mike (Walter),
I suspect that you're quite correct, the, "MOVINGON" reference is perhaps
now dated - or at least inappropriate for use by retirees. I won't
apologise for using it (not that anyone would expect me to) because I'm
far too much of a sentimentalist to not allow the chance for a back-
reference to VMSHARE to appear in my last substantive posting as an EDS
employee.
In a shameless plug for my brother's latest book, perhaps I might be
allowed to suggest, "Not Fade Away" as a suitable subject title for those
of us who in the future find themselves in the position of announcing
their impending retirement from full-time employment ...
Everybody,
Many thanks for your good wishes - both public and private. Not that much
reinforcement was needed, but they certainly reinforce my resolve to stay
involved with the community!
Regards
Jeff
