Alan, I am the person who talked to you extensively at SHARE about OSA connections and VSWITCH. When I returned we brought up the VSWITCH on our production network. I
defined the VSWITCH as ACCESS as you indicated. However, what I found was that because the Network people had the Cisco Router defined as TRUNK, I had to use PORTTYPE TRUNK for the VSWITCH. The network group coded their side as such as we may need/want to share the ports with another VSWITCH connection that would have another VLAN associated with it. You might want to advise that the vswithc porttype be coded depending on the switch connection.
