As nearly as I can tell from looking at code, WAKEUP tells you about 
things in this order:
1. RDR
2. CONS
3. timer
4. VMCF
5. IUCV
6. EXT/APPC
7. IO

Only VMCF and IUCV give a notification for each occurance.  The others 
simply report "One or more of this kind of event occurred while you were 
out."  RDR simply reports that you have one or more (eligible) files in 
your RDR.
