What I hear from Scott's answer is that I have to go back to using USER DIRECT which is the only way I could figure out.
I just thought maybe I was missing some zVM "smoke and mirrors" trick to get DIRMAINT updated somehow. Thanks, Scott. This will keep me moving forward.
