One question what do you get if you wait to issue the ACNT command one time at lets say 23:45 for the entire day. What would be the time intervals?

Maybe they are interested in specific times like prime shift and off shift. You need to find out from them what times they are interested in. Then have a virtual machine issue CP ACNT ALL at the correct times. DISKACNT will write the records to the file or append the records to the file that already exists with a date stamp of the day the records are collected. You can issue many CP ACNT ALL during the day. I make sure that I issue one just around midnight. I use that same virtual machine to link to the DISKACNT 191 disk sometime after midnight and copy the previous days file and then FTP it to whoever is asking. You may want to invest time in creating an exec that would ftp any file that you specify to the capacity group. I am sure that sometime a file will get lost. I log everything and can prove that I send it out every day (I have the ftp messages to prove it got to the other side) but every now and then it is missing on the other side and I have to resend it again. It also XAUTOLOGs a service machine at 00:02:00 every day which intelligently selects certain ACCOUNT files from the DISKACNT 191 disk and uses FTP to send them to z/OS.
