The IDENTIFY command is not a CP command, but a CMS command, it extracts its information from SYSTEM NETID if availlable, else it uses the System_Identifier; The System_Identifier is used by CP Q USERID and displayed right bottom of the 3270 terminals. The Gateway is used when interconnecting VM systems in an ISFC collection.
