The NJE Bridge tool we wrote does this. You need the bridge code on your Linux, 
and a TCPNJE implementation (eg, RSCS or a Nje Bridge appliance) on VM. Users 
on Linux then are individually addressible with SendFile and Tell.

You also get a fairly decent batch system for Linux as part of the deal.
