Hello Dennis, We did go from 3390-3 to 3390-9. Difference is that the 3390-3 disk had other stuff on it than the paging function. I have a separate 3390-9 for paging and another 3390-9 for spooling.
Went from EMC ESCON to DS6800 with FICON. Everything was just better. No paging or any other issues.
