That's because PUNCH is a CMS command, but the output is from CP. Suggest (assuming Rexx): 'CP SPOOL PUNCH CONT' 'PUNCH SCRIPT LINUX A' parse value diag(8, 'SPOOL PUNCH CLOSE NOCONT') with . . spoolid .
