Hi,
I am new to zvm. I am trying to add a disk to my zvm 5.4 system.
Here is what i did.

I am able to format the disk using CPFMTXA.
I ipl the system and everything looks ok.

I am able to use the 503 disk that was mapped to VM8004.

I reipl the zvm again, but i get message VM8004 not mounted.

Why is it working after the 1st ipl but succeeding ipl results in the disk
being not mounted.
I tried adding the volume vm8004 in the system config "cp owned volumes" but
the result is the same.
I tried attaching VM8004 manually but i can't acc 503 disk.
The only way i can work around this problem is to reformat the disk again. but
after the second ipl, VM8004 is not mounted again.
Not sure what i am missing. is there something basic that i am forgetting to
do here.
