VM's saved segments and saved systems also live in the spool (spool filetype
NSS; "CMS" is the most know NSS).

Issue Q SDF to see how many "special" files are found in the spool, and Q
NSS to list all saved segments.

Saved segments can be re-created if you know how, otherwise you can save
them on tape using SPXTAPE DUMP NSS ....

With such a tape -recreate a new CPXTAPE backup after you apply service- you
don't need to backup spool.

If you don't DDR page nor spool volumes, you need to FORMAT and ALLOCATE
these packs at the DR site, using the standalone ICKDSF module (lives on
MAINT CF1 too, can be IPLed and used using SAPL). This may be a reason to
still include spool packs on the DDR. With at least spool available, you
can IPL VM and use a REXX EXEC to rebuild the page packs soon after IPL (and
before starting guests).
