I just went through this a couple of weeks ago and had the same oddities. I
bet its looking at the wrong filepoolid. Spell it out in the command.

Subject: Adding minidisk to SFS in Multi-User Mode

I believe that this is the first time I've tried this and have run into the
following problem.

I'm on the first step "Enter the FILEPOOL MINIDISK command".

I've added the following to the directory:

USER VMSERVA PARROT 32M 32M BG

  :

  ;

 *MINIOPT NOMDC

  MDISK 0101 3390 0031 0040 540W03 WR RCATALOG WCATALOG

  MDISK 0201 3390 1200 0400 540W04 WR RDATAA   WDATAA

  MDISK 0202 3390 1200 0400 540W05 WR RDATAA   WDATAA

  MDISK 0203 3390 1200 0400 540W06 WR RDATAA   WDATAA

And the current VMSYSA POOLDEF has:

MAXUSERS=1000

MAXDISKS=200

DDNAME=CONTROL         VDEV=A01

DDNAME=LOG1            VDEV=B01

DDNAME=LOG2            VDEV=B02

DDNAME=BACKUP   DISK   FN=CONTROL    FT=BACKUP   FM=A

DDNAME=MDK00001        VDEV=101      GROUP=1  BLOCKS=7184

DDNAME=MDK00002        VDEV=201      GROUP=2  BLOCKS=71915

DDNAME=MDK00003        VDEV=202      GROUP=2  BLOCKS=71915

FILEPOOL execution:

filepool minidisk vmserva

DMSWFP3485I FILEPOOL processing begun at 13:11:26 on 4 Mar 2010.

DMSJMD3425R Enter MDK number (nnnnn), virtual device address (vvvv),

DMSJMD3425R and storage group number (ggggg) for a minidisk to be added.

DMSJMD3425R Use format nnnnn vvvv ggggg

00004 0203 00002

DMSJMD3909E DDNAME = MDK00004 is out of sequence

DMSWFP3486I FILEPOOL processing ended at 13:11:33 on 4 Mar 2010.

Ready(03909); T=0.01/0.01 13:11:33

I don't see why MDK00004 is out of sequence (the last MDISK is MDK00003).
