Excellent method, Kris.  I think I'll add it to the books.

If you have RACF's 191 disk linked R/W when RACF wants to do an SMF 
switch, he will stop SMF recording.  But since All Good Systems have the 
SEVER option specified in SMF DATA (per the z/VM Secure Configuration 
Guide), that will trigger RACF to stop.
