Or you can pass the FCONAPPC subcommand with the PERFKIT invocation as PERFKIT FCONA to connect to the APPC/VM default resource FCXRES00 (*not* FCXRESOO). (Multiple subcommands can be appended as arguments with the PERFKIT command, separated by semicolons, to be executed FIFO once initialization has completed).
