I have implemented VMRMSVM to manage multiple MVS guests. Everything wor ked fine until I got a RC=-313 from a PIPE. The message say something like there is nothing to collect, then VMRMSVM shutdowns... My question here is to understand the real advantage to give a machine to manage workload balancing, something strategic from my eyes, and fails for insuf ficient informations collected from monitor... I can't imagine WLM in MVS, my tape manager in VM, my backup/restore tool or what other products you like to stop for an inactivity reason... Do you see what I mean by this ? Hope I'm clear enough...
