Current production systems are z/VM 5.3. All we ever do is run Linux guests.
Upgrading to z/VM 5.4. I have already installed the system. Chapter 9 in the Guide for Automated Installation and Service mentions the migration process. The only extra features we have enabled is the Performance Toolkit and DIRMAINT. Do I need to perform the steps in Chapter 9? If so, Why? We have never really customized our system so I'm kind of thinking that I don't need to perform this step. Thanks. -Karl Kingston
