There's no documentation that I'm aware of, but you'll want to avoid volsers that are 1 to 4 hexadecimal digits (i.e. could be interpreted as a device address) or that match the keywords on any of these commands - QUERY DASD - QUERY ALLOC - ATTACH - DETACH This includes volids like FREE, ALL, BOXED, ACTIVE, VOLID, VOLUME, etc. Also avoid imbedded blanks.
