(There's a QUERY SYSOPER, too.) When the current operator logs off, the system goes into 'hunt' mode, looking for a likely victim. If one of the ALTERNATE_OPERATORS is currently logged on, they are bitten and transformed into The Operator (shudder, eerie music plays). Else the system pulls back into the shadows, waiting for a user with the Right Stuff to wander by, where "Right Stuff" is defined as the value from the PRIV_CLASSES OPERATOR statement in SYSTEM CONFIG (defaults to class A).
