Hi Jeff, As for the 'official' documentation, i'd suggest the service guide. When applying service updating the CF1 or 190 (490) is one of the steps. But perhaps that's overkill for trivial changes. IMHO, the best thing is to write some workinstructions for these kind of changes. If required one can still point at the manuals, such as the service guide, within this instruction. Also it depends on how your system has been configured. As long as you use the IBM deleved installer system then you can use the sevrice guide as reference. If your system has been tailored to your needs then it might be the service guide doesn't provide the correct instructions.
As for our systems, these are not quite build the way IBM would expect so the service guide, with its instructions, is only applicable on our installation system.
