I see that in my original post I hosted up a sentence:
If you want DIRMAINT to (again) manage your user directoy, all you have to do is rename the current user directory file USER INPUT to USER INPUT and put it on DIRAMINT's 1DF minidisk, are restart the DIRMAINT virtual machine.
What I meant to say was "...have to do is copy the current source user directory file (say, VMUSERS DIRECT) to DIRMAINT's 1DF minidisk and rename it USER INPUT (the file *must be* named USER INPUT or DIRMAINT will not pick it up). Then restart the DIRMAINT virtual machine."
