External damage means that the processor microcode LIC file loaded during
system startup is corrupted in some way and that the internal checking of
the parts of that file failed, but since it was able to correct the problem
and keep running, it appears to be only a partial failure. I've also seen
this problem caused by a faulty control store memory chip in the CPC.

Either case, what you need to do is call your field CE RIGHT NOW before the
disk and/or control store hardware completely fails and have him/her get a
backup of the customer data and configuration data, then run the CE CPC
diagnostics on the CPC cards.

You're looking at an immanent hardware failure that will be hard (or at
least VERY time-consuming) to fix if you don't get a good backup ASAP.
