Martha:

Every current mainframe has something called a "capacity marker". This
is what in the old days we would call a model. However, today the model
reflects the number of engines available, not actually in use. Also,
with sub-capacity machines the model is really not relevant. Issuing the
z/OS command should show you the real marker, not a virtual marker.
