The What's New task on the HMC (new in 2.11) describes changes, hopefully
in more detail than the What's New part of the HMC book (avail on
ResourceLink). At SHARE in Anaheim, Brian Valentine [HMC/SE firmware
architect] presented details about HMC 2.11. See the Proceedings, session
9031.
Additional investigation tells me that I was imagining things. People
wanting the ability to set/override/cancel the deactivation delay should
open a PMH ("Report a problem" task) and ask to open a Requirement for new
function.
