Having an awareness that the model of mainframe management begun in the 60s (and still in place today) is changing will help to ensure that people aren't surprised by the change. It will also help raise awareness of the challenges (both to you and to IBM) waiting in the wings. For those who want to talk online about zEnterprise generally, IBM-MAIN and [really?] "Systemz Mainframe" on Facebook probably have better visibility within the relevant circles in IBM that does IBMVM.
