What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.set console environment
export LANG=zh_CN.GB18030
export xmodifie...@im=ibus
export GTK_IM_MODULE=ibus
export QT_IM_MODULE=ibus
2.choose desktop/window manager
Use either
exec gnome-session
or
exec fluxbox
in ~/.Xclients
3.do 'startx'
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
ibus should work with window managers like fluxbox, but it is not. It works
with gnome desktop: crxvt-gb, urxvt, emacs22, firefox, all can invoke the
Chinese input bar with Control+space. But under fluxbox, ibus does not work:
1. ibus-daemon is not started by default.
2. manually run ibus-setup ok (having set environment vars as before),
ibus-daemon is started normally. Verified with ps.
3. Control+space can't bring up Chinese input bar, tested under Chinese
crxvt-gb, urxvt, emacs22, or firefox. E.g.,
LANG=zh_CN.GB18030 xmodifie...@im=ibus urxvt &
or
LANG=zh_CN.UTF-8 xmodifie...@im=ibus urxvt &
