For Chromium OS, we wrote a tiny program called ibus-memconf, that works as
an alternative
to ibus-gconf. As the name suggests, ibus-memconf just keeps configuration
data in memory
and does not write data in persistent data stores.
We wrote this as we plan to store IME configuration in Chromium's
preference database,
rather than GConf database. We are wondering if it's useful enough to be
part of the IBus
code base (maybe useful for other platforms?). If you think it's a good
idea, we'll be
happy to send a patch. Please let us know your thoughts on this.
