I'm in support of this request too.
I'd like to add one more thing. The current IBus key combination assignment
seems to
have no distinction of L/R meta keys. I'm sure it would be far greater to
let users
have this option. For example, "LShift + Space" can be assigned for one IM
and
"RShift + Space" for another.
