New issue 947 by goodman.m.w: Language bar always visible (even when inactive)
http://code.google.com/p/ibus/issues/detail?id=947 What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? OS (Linux distributions, UNIX or ...): Ubuntu 10.04 Architecture (i386, x86_64): x86_64 IBus version: 1.2.0.20091215 Input method name and version: (n/a, though I have Anthy, Chewing, and py(m17n) installed) Python version: 2.6.5 dbus version: 1.2.16 dbus-python version: 0.83.0 gtk version (if bug is about gtk applications): libgtk 2.20.1 qt version (if bug is about qt applications): What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Set Ibus preferences to show language bar when active 2. Set cursor in text area, activate ibus (method of activation does not seem to matter). Language bar appears as expected. 3. Deactivate the ibus (again, method does not matter). Language bar disappears as expected. 4. Change focus to another UI element (via click, tab, etc to any button, text area, window, etc.). Language bar reappears as semi-transparent, showing last used input method. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I expected the language bar to lose visibility while inactive, but instead it appears (which is distracting when it disappears when turning off the input method, then reappears for no apparent reason). The Ibus preference of always showing the language bar is in fact more useful for me, because when it is inactive it only shows one icon which can be clicked to select an input method. When the option to show only "when active" is selected, the semi-transparent language bar only shows the last used input method, and it cannot be interacted with. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ibus-devel" group. iBus project web page: http://code.google.com/p/ibus/ iBus dev group: http://groups.google.com/group/ibus-devel?hl=en
