New issue 1138 by greatht: Ubuntu 10.10 64bit 无法激活ibus pinyin
http://code.google.com/p/ibus/issues/detail?id=1138
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
OS (Linux distributions, UNIX or ...): Ubuntu 10.10
Architecture (i386, x86_64): x86_64
IBus version: 1.3.7
Input method name and version: PINYIN
Python version:
dbus version:
dbus-python version:
gtk version (if bug is about gtk applications): 2.12.10-1
qt version (if bug is about qt applications):
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enable Input Method from System->Preferences menu
2. open Eclipse, open a file to edit
3. Move the cursor to Eclipse window and try to activate input method using
key Ctrl+Space (I have already disabled the default behavior of Ctrl+Space
in Eclipse)
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Ibus icon stays keyboard and nothing changes. it should switch to the blue
拼 icon
Please provide any additional information below.
It is much alike with the bug reported last year in Redhat system
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=511798
And ibus works well on other programs but Eclipse. I tried using
right-click->Input Method->IBus (Not working though) and clicking the ibus
icon on the top bar. It won't switch to PINYIN either.
Since I can copy chinese to the java file I am editing and save it, it
should not be a encoding issue.
