Hi,
I am trying to implement a virtual keyboard using ibus. For that I
need to share some information between the ibus engines.
I would like to know if it is possible for ibus engines to communicate
with each other (even if it is through ibus-daemon). If not, is it
anywhere in the roadmap.

Currently it's not implemented.
Previously I talked about shared engines but the concern would be ibus-daemon
has too much functions.

Probably it might be a very long plan but any engines could be implemented
without shared features at the moment.

BTW, currently eekboard is available without ibus.

Also ibus-input-pad can launch eekboard.
