Hi, I am trying to implement a virtual keyboard using ibus. For that I need to share some information between the ibus engines. I would like to know if it is possible for ibus engines to communicate with each other (even if it is through ibus-daemon). If not, is it anywhere in the roadmap.
Currently it's not implemented. Previously I talked about shared engines but the concern would be ibus-daemon has too much functions. https://github.com/fujiwarat/ibus/commit/d31b882f8477c8deedbf1d275c22c58c454ea92c Probably it might be a very long plan but any engines could be implemented without shared features at the moment. BTW, currently eekboard is available without ibus. http://ueno.github.com/eekboard/ Also ibus-input-pad can launch eekboard. http://code.google.com/p/input-pad/
