Also do you mean your problem can be reproduced only when you run
ibus-setup?
No, I guess if those errors are harmless then using ibus-setup isn't
relevant.
I cannot reproduce your problem.
Well, for a few weeks, neither Japanese kana/kanji nor anthy's input menu
would appear when activated.
However, I just rebooted, and now everything seems to work normally again
to my surprise!
I guess maybe old config files were causing trouble. In any case, the
combination of removing all config files, reinstalling ibus, anthy and
ibus-anthy and rebooting seems to have somehow fixed this problem for me.
Sorry, I guess you can consider this bug report false alarm. But just in
case, maybe you could check if all config files are handled cleanly between
upgrades.
