Please hold on... My comment in the launchpad page is NOT for the gconf2 segv issue, but for the original problem (i.e. "no ibus input method is registered after fresh install".)
Right now I have no idea whether the segv issue of gconf2 is related to the original problem. IMHO, it'd be better to file a separate ibus bug for the original issue and link to the newly created ibus issue from the launchpad page (unless you're very confident that the root cause of the two issues are the same.)
